I’M PRETTY ADVENTUROUS, WILL LUMAR GARMENTS HOLD UP?

Our garments are designed to withstand whatever and wherever your next adventure takes you. We utilize quality fabric that is saltwater and chlorine proof so you can rest assured you are covered on both land and sea. All Lumar Active garments are double lined and tried and tested by the team.

FLIPSIDE, I’M NOT AN EXTREME ATHLETE, IS LUMAR OVERKILL FOR WHAT I NEED?

Adventuring isn’t the only reason people wear Lumar. Our garments are also perfect for those seeking extra sun protection whether that be walking along the beach, sitting on a boat, or lounging by the pool. Lumar is simply for anyone who spends time outdoors.

YOU MENTIONED UPF, WHAT RATING DOES LUMAR USE FOR THEIR GARMENTS?

At Lumar, we are extremely passionate about UPF fabric. All of our fabrics are selected based on the highest UPF rating (50+), which means you will have the best protection no matter the conditions. Read more on our blog post ‘For the Love of: UPF’

HOW CAN I BEST LOOK AFTER MY LUMAR GARMENTS?

The golden rule is to always rinse after use. This will help ensure that your garments stand the test of time. Hand washing is also preferable but we don’t judge. We understand that using a washing machine may be functional in our everyday life or for a final washing at the end of summer. However, do not bleach, soak, or wring out. Oh and do not tumble dry, iron or dry clean.

HOW DOES LUMAR APPROACH SUSTAINABLE MANUFACTURING?

At Lumar sustainability is our number one priority and so we value doing business with suppliers that follow high standards of quality and service, respect the environment, and safeguard their staff’s health and safety. To us, this is the bare minimum standard that all businesses should be required to meet for the benefit of both people and the planet. All of our fabrics are sourced from certified mills and meet the STANDARD 100 OEKO-TEX qualifications, meaning they have been tested and deemed free of any harmful substances or chemicals. In terms of sustainability, our suppliers are the most certified in the industry. They are in conformity with the Global Recycled Standard (GRS) and the HIGG Index, a certification system for environmentally friendly and socially responsible production facilities. You can rest easy that when you purchase a Lumar Active product you are casting a vote toward a more sustainable future.

WHAT ABOUT ALL THE TRIMS, ARE THEY SUSTAINABLE & DURABLE?

The Lumar team is constantly trying and testing materials to find the most sustainable option that doesn’t compromise quality. As our products are designed to be worn in the ocean, our zippers and stitching are as eco-friendly as possible while still maintaining marine durability and performance. Our manufacturer’s non-stop improvements aim to reduce our environmental impact and continue to comply with The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) and Global Recycled Standard (GRS).

WHAT PACKAGING DOES LUMAR USE FOR CUSTOMER SHIPPING?

Taking care of the planet and minimizing our footprint is our priority. We offer our customers the most sustainable and convenient options available to fit each individual’s needs. From recycled paper and biodegradable mailers to water-soluble poly bags, we continue to make a difference where we can. Larger orders ship in recyclable cardboard boxes. We use garment bags that are water-soluble and proven to be non-toxic and minimize harmful residue on the earth. They do not contain PP, PE, PS, PVC plastic, as proven by the FTIR analysis, and do not form microplastic. It is an alternative solution for manufacturers and brands to replace conventional plastic packaging. For hygienic purposes, our garments are lined from bioplastic face sheets that are biodegradable. We have done our part and we hope you will do yours by placing your Lumar packaging waste into compostable waste containers.

SHIPPING

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY ORDER?

Customers can tailor their orders depending on their individual shipping needs. For regular orders, standard shipping is available, for those who need their Lumar STAT (we don’t blame you) we offer expedited shipping.

Standard ShippingSent Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
Orders are estimated to ship within 1-2 business days after being placed.
Standard shipping is free for all orders within the continental US.
Orders are estimated to arrive within 5-7 days from being shipped.
Expedited Shipping is a $15 flat rate within then continental US and are expected to arrive within 2-3 business days from being shipped.
Overnight orders are a $35 flat rate must be placed before 12PM EST and are expected to arrive within 1-2 business days from being shipped.
Do Carriers Offer Guaranteed Delivery?
Carriers do not guarantee a delivery date for standard shipments, and delivery dates are subject to change.  Usually, tracking will update to reflect the new estimated delivery date.
Note: Since the pandemic’s start, carriers no longer guarantee most expedited deliveries.

HOW CAN I TRACK MY ORDER?

Please note that orders ship within 1-2 business days after being placed. Once your order has shipped, you’ll receive an email confirmation with the tracking number. Please note that your tracking number may take 1-2 business days to become active, and USPS orders may experience delays.

RETURNS

WHAT IS YOUR RETURN/EXCHANGE POLICY?

We understand that sometimes things don’t work out. Whether you need a different size or something is not exactly to your liking, you can request a return or exchange up to 10 days after your order was received. However, all returns must be unwashed, unworn, undamaged, and returned in original condition (that’s an untorn bag, hygiene sticker & tag attached), in original condition.

CAN I RETURN AN ORDER INTERNATIONALLY?

Sure! You can request a return or exchange up to 10 days after your order was received. All returns must be unwashed, unworn, undamaged, and returned in original condition (that’s an untorn bag, hygiene sticker & tag attached), in original condition.

International customers are responsible for return shipping. Note, we do not offer direct exchanges, and duties, taxes, and shipping fees are non-refundable. Email hello@lumaractive.com to get started with an international return.

HOW DO I KNOW WHAT SIZE I AM?

Please see our size conversion chart below:

XS = US sizes 0-2
S = US sizes 2-4
M = US sizes 6-8
L = US 10-12

DOES LUMAR FIT TRUE TO SIZE?

Lumar’s garments fit like a second skin that is both compressive and smooth. If you’re curvier or prefer a looser or more forgiving fit, we suggest you size up for more coverage.

HERE ARE OUR BEST TRY-ON TIPS:

Sometimes you need to return or exchange an item. In order to keep your garment in tip-top condition, please avoid trying it on when wearing self-tanner, oil, fragrance, or lotion. When trying on swimwear please wear undergarments until you are 100% certain you are keeping your item. We appreciate it greatly.
